Soundking AM20 Digital Mixing Console

The Soundking AM20 is a professional compact digital mixing console built around the fourth-generation ADI SHARC 40-bit floating-point processor running at 450 MHz, paired with an ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core SOC processor. This combination delivers the processing power and reliability demanded by live sound engineers, houses of worship, broadcast, and touring professionals. The AM20 brings flagship-level audio performance and workflow flexibility into a portable, road-ready form factor.

DISPLAY AND INTERFACE

At the heart of the AM20 is a 10.1-inch high-definition capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, running a custom Android-based operating system. The large, high-contrast display gives instant access to channel parameters, routing, effects, and system settings without navigating complex sub-menus. Nine motorised 100 mm faders provide precise, tactile control, and their positions update automatically when switching between layers or recalling scenes. Five customisable layers and 12 assignable custom buttons allow engineers to configure the console around any venue, event, or workflow, keeping the most-needed controls always at hand.

AUDIO INPUTS

The AM20 provides 16 mono microphone inputs, including four Combo XLR/TRS connectors on the front panel for direct patching of microphones and line-level sources. All mic inputs feature individually switchable 48 V phantom power, high-pass filter, polarity invert, gain control, full parametric EQ, gate, and compressor. Stereo channels can be linked both horizontally and vertically. In addition to the analogue inputs, dedicated USB and digital input channels extend the connectivity for playback sources and digital stage boxes.

AUDIO OUTPUTS

Eight balanced XLR output connectors are freely assignable to any combination of the available buses. The output bus architecture includes two FX sends, four AUX buses, four GROUP buses, two MATRIX buses, the Master L/R stereo bus, and a Solo/Headphone monitoring bus. AES digital input and output interfaces are provided for connection to digital loudspeaker processors and other AES-compatible devices. A GPIO interface enables integration with third-party control and automation systems, while an RS485 command interface is included for external control protocols.

PROCESSING AND EFFECTS

Audio is processed at up to 24-bit/192 kHz resolution. Every input channel benefits from a full processing chain including high-pass filter, four-band parametric EQ, expander/gate, and compressor. Output channels include parametric EQ, graphic EQ, compressor, limiter, and delay. The console houses eight integrated effects engines: two modulation effects, two delay effects, two reverb effects, and two graphic equalisers. A built-in signal generator produces white noise, pink noise, and sine wave tones for system measurement and calibration.
